Terms of Use

Last updated: June 21, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Erefta by store owners, invited clerks, and any other person using a Erefta workspace.

Using Erefta

You may use Erefta only for lawful business operations. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your workspace records reasonably up to date, and avoid using the service in a way that interferes with other customers or the platform.

Accounts and access

Owners are responsible for the people they invite, the permissions they grant, and the security of devices and passwords used for their workspace. Each user must keep sign-in credentials private and notify the store owner promptly if account access may be compromised.

Business records

You keep responsibility for the accuracy of purchases, sales, pricing, tax treatment, and any decisions made from the data entered into Erefta. Erefta helps organize records, but it does not provide accounting, legal, or tax advice.

Availability and updates

We may update the service, these Terms, or access to specific features from time to time. We may suspend or limit access to protect the service or investigate misuse. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Privacy policy and product telemetry

Your use of Erefta is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service you acknowledge that we may use third-party analytics and diagnostics (including PostHog when configured) to operate, secure, support, and improve Erefta, as further described there.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Closing your sign-in ends your access to the service and cannot be undone. If you close an owner account, the store associated with it is also closed and any invited clerks lose access to it; their personal accounts are unaffected. Business records you recorded — purchases, sales, inventory history — are retained as described in our Privacy Policy. If you sign up again later with the same email address, you receive a new account; prior records are not re-associated with it.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Erefta and Marefia are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business arising from your use of or inability to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of critical business information.

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@marefia.com.
